I played this course 7-5-14 and it was in terrible shape....when checking in with the starter I noticed the fairways were quite burnt and the starter told me that the supt had been fired and they hired a new one and he told me the course was in "rough shape".....I was already there so I played and EVERY fairway was burnt, dead grass, and sand....and EVERY green had dead spots, burnt areas, and sand as well....I have played this course in the past and it WAS one of my favorites but the place should be closed until back in some kind of playing shape.....do not play here until they get everything back in shape....

This is one of the better layouts in South Phoenix. I am not sure if it is just the soumer heat that has gotten to the fairways or lack of propoer watering but there were a lot bare/brown spots in the fairways. The greens were good and putted true and the pace of play was good as well. Fix the fairway issue and you have an excellent course for all levels of players.

Great layout with plenty of difficulty. Fairways were in great shape and the greens were true and fast. Pace of play is usually very slow due to over crowded status. Very popular course in the area. Price is reasonable for the type of course and condition.

Overseeding was about 3 weeks prior so the fairways and greens were a little shaggy. Greens putted well other than being slow. Course was reasonably well defined and the layout was good overall. Surprised by the 122 slope from the middle tees. I thought the course was closer to a 127/128 difficulty than 122.

Tee sheet placement is a bit close for any chance of a quick play...the course has some scenery, greens roll well, overall conditions solid. Some reasonable mounding and thoughtful bunkering (bunkers mostly play nicely too) highlight what to strategize for. Staff is average+ Definitely improved with management change a while back as greens used to be consistently poor/slow...Because of that (about 4 times in a row) I avoided this course for quite some time but find it playable/enjoyable again. Not a first or second choice, mind you, unless the price is right (which can be found even during the peak winter time).

Problems with course revolve around pricing. We paid full rate even thought the course was just finished fall seeding. Fareways and greens were in poor condition because of it. Rate should always reflect course condition and that certainly wasn't our experience.

Tee time made through through on line booking service ($40 ... about a 60% discount).

Course was in great shape, and is always challenging. Greens were fairly fast and in nice shape. Will play here again.
